Summer Ops 1 - Preparation is everything

Preparing for a Forest Intelligence Service™ survey season begins long before the first drone takes flight.

Before field deployment, Flash Forest teams prepare every survey through four connected areas of work: silviculture planning, geospatial survey design, machine learning readiness, and drone operations.

Each team contributes a different part of the process. Silviculture planning establishes the information needed for each survey. GIS and remote sensing prepare the field program. Machine learning workflows are prepared to process incoming survey data. Drone operations plan safe and efficient deployments.

Over the coming weeks, we'll share how each team prepares for Summer Ops and the work completed before the first survey begins.
