Community restoration and beyond: Insights from After the Flames
We were at the After the Flames Conference in Cle Elum, Washington last week (April 6-9).
Marc Apduhan, our Innovation and Business Development lead, moderated the Reforestation & Seeding session and co-presented "Community Restoration through Reforestation and Beyond" with Jessica Rahn from the Grand County, Colorado.
The session tackled the real bottlenecks in post-fire reforestation: how decisions get made on the ground, in areas with low natural regeneration, and when collaboration between community, land managers, and restoration tech come together.
Flash Forest was there to be part of that conversation and to connect with teams working on active recovery projects, including exploring hybrid seedpod and seedling approaches, and the use of forest intelligence software moving forward in 2026 and beyond.
Connect to be a part of the solution!
